Duel for SP instead of elo

Elo is theoretically useless except giving players a fake sense of self-esteem. SP and rank are far more meaningful and important at this game. Just take an example, i have 1150+ elo, yet, i was kicked every single scenario.
And here's my suggestion:
1) Player A and Player B negotiates and decides the SP gambled before game is started.
2) They press their decided SP on game setting.(take 1k sp an example)
3) 1K sp is reduced from both players
4) winner gets 2k SP, loser gets none and loses 1k
5) both gets back their 1k SP if duel is drawn

It can make duels more exciting ,attracting and USEFUL

You were probably kicked because they realized you are an alt.

Playing this game is theoretically useless ...but it's fun and so is ELO. I would never duel for sp.

Higher rank players don't care about SP. I'd gladly give mine away and be a rank 8.

And SP can be earned through farming and playing world games etc. ELO can also be farmed, but it is much more difficult and boring.

Wait, has it changed? I'm sure it used to be SP? Well, they did bring this elo system in, but I didn't think it'd replace the SP system, I just thought it was an addition to it.

Yes it used to be SP and now it's elo points. And who cares it doesnt "mean anything", neither do reputation points.

I prupose to have option in player setting to set our duel option to SP or elo. For instance if one player set his duel option to SP and win he will take the sp of the opponent, but if his opponent set his duel option to elo and win he will take elo points from the other guy who set his option to SP

So why not reimplement the old SP system for duels to have both SP and elo at the same time. The winner gets a portion of the losers SP. The actual amount of bonus/malus SP is determined by the difference in ELO. So if you lose against a better player you just lost a bit of SP but if you win you gain alot. I dont remember the old default values but I would say it was something like this +-100 SP. Correct me if im wrong.

This is very good, for lower ranks fighting higher ranks should be rewarded with extra incentives then just a boost to ELO. If SP is what they crave then give them bonus SP for doing so.

If you lost enough sp then yes. Like if you were rank 8 and it require 170, 000 sp. Then lost 200 sp in duel or whatever you will be demoted to the peevious rank
