Unfortunately, the games that advertise have a lot of money. I will give you an example of why what you're suggesting is harder than it seems. An advertiser would have to pay roughly 0.05/0.15 per view that a YouTuber gets. Depending on how volatile or stable their views are, would be how much I would have to pay. This can include how long the advert is too at the beginning of the YouTuber's video. Let's just say the channel gains 50,000 views every video, maybe a few hundred less or a few hundred more and the advert is 30 seconds long. It would be reasonable to pay 0.10 because they have a stable view count, and it's not that many views if you think about it. Now let's do the math. 0.10 X 50,000 = 5000. That's $5000 on a 30-second ad that's only shown on one video. Let's be conservative and say 10% of the people that watch the video decide to play atWar and about 5% pay for premium. 10% of 50,000 = 5,000 people. 5% of 5000 = 250 people. For us to make money from that advertisement, those 250 people would need to buy the 6-month premium. For a game they have just started, we would be lucky if they paid for three months. A great example of a game advertising to become world renowned is fortnite. That has many, many different ways to attract people into spending money on things you don't need. Maths is a bit off but you can begin to understand that advertising a game isn't as easy as paying a YouTuber or putting it on Facebook

Dude...hold it right there......imagine if FIVE THOUSAND new people played this game, which right now can be hard to even find TEN players to fill a game. Five thousand! Just take a minute to think about how gigantic that number is. Even if 10% is high, imagine only 5% of people who viewed it played this game. That would still be 2500 new people...which is still an astronomically high number consider it can be tough to even find 10 players to fill a game nowadays. Even if only ONE percent of people who view the ad played this game, that would be five hundred new players, which is several times more than what we have now. I doubt we currently have anywhere near 500 players (not including multiple alt accounts). The idea of marketing is not to be profitable right away. Most businesses especially in start up stages lose money in the first few quarters or longer until the customer/player base is built up. 5000 dollars in advertisements could attract anywhere from 500-5000 people (1-10%). Now considering its hard to even fill a game up with 10 active players nowadays, could you imagine what 500-5000 new players could do for this game? It would be a totally different experience.

I used to think that too until Dave told me that in just a month 3500+ new people register. Even if half of those are alts and lets say we gain 10 players every month, 1740 people don't return. I think this game needs a reminder or a notification system by making email compulsory and by notifying players every 24 hours that they haven't played.

Actually the promotion campaigns aside from facebook and instagram could focos on advertise the game in 8chan and 4chan, we can educate them to avoid more political shitposting in main chat.
