I was really just trying to troll this topic. But do you really think Greece can beat the kebabs? With no outside help I really do believe turkey could blink and Greece would surrender. Sounds like I am talking about the French but i'm not.
No really though its not like that. No bullshitting from me, looking at the numbers Turkey could wipe Greece in days. But the reality is far from. In essence :
1. The difference in arms is not that great, Greece has been spending like fuck all those years, especially considering Turkey will be the attacker. The attacker always suffers more losses and to add to that Greece terrain is very hard to go through, its mountainous. Eg ships 100 to 150, tanks 1500 to 2500 artillery 500 to 1000
2. Personel. Erdogan fired and jailed thousands of experienced military soldiers and officers. Leadership matters and skillful, experienced soldiers matter too, especially pilots. Greece has more pilots that it can use and they have been trained in the best schools of USA and Israel aswell as trained in real life situations in the Aegean. Erdogan fired most of his experienced pilots, he has more aircrafts and no pilots to drive them now.
3. Internal feud. Turkey is in the brink of civil war, you cant sustain a war without national cohesion, Erdogan will have to fight another front inside his own country.
4. Kurds. Erdogan already getting his ass kicked in Northern Syria, imagine what will happen when he will have to fight a 2/3 fronts war.
5. Allies. Erdogan has run out of allies. At this point they just tolerate him. His removal will benefit almost everybody.
6. And most important of all, is the psychology of the soldiers. Nobody can deny that when a person is defending his homeland and fighting for the survival of his family and friends he will fight better and with higher morale than a conquering army who is forced to go to a war he doesnt want to be part in. Remember Italy in ww2 and Persia.
In a long war Greece would lose to turkey, but if we were to be funded, turkey qouldn't stand a chance.

My country doesn't need to change name, so can't really be asked that; Now if you're asking from a nationalistic way of being, probably wouldn't, but if there's a historical misconception with yours, that's a different story
