I never messed around with casual games so I didn't know what happens during the first turn. If you haven't joined yet, and someone near you attacks where you joined, they can actually hit and kill you.
Yeah, this is a problem when holding casuals where players join during turn 1. It should be fixed. One work around is to disallow 1st turn moves.

Guys i have picked a country and wall my cities on the first turn, and because i was one of the first players to pick every now and then i go on the game to see what the new players are picking, a glich had happend... when i loged into the game for the 3rd or fourth time one of my units went from USA mauntain to one of japan cities, i cant cancel now the movement, and i also found that every time i go to lobby and log in the game again if i place another unit on the exact same spot it will also attack that same japan city. if i do this step enough times i can literaly stack japan city with all my starting units, i wouldnt complain if the units were going straight to tokio, but iam just wasting them basically on a pointelles city to capture across the ocean. has anyone else had this glich?

Hahaha. Typical AW.
But yeah that glitch has happened before. Guess it's okay as long as it isn't abused.

I still remember when i used to spend all day playing world map games, those boring battles between asia and america that takes like 8 turns to cross the pacific, i used to prey for a miracle that would allow me to teleport my troops to the other side of the ocean, and now the miracle has happend!!!
I guess now i need to start preying for the extintion of gliches and bugs and also the rank8s without the knowing the concept of walling

why allow unit movements and yet not reinforcements first turn?
Because at the time you join, other people may have not joined yet, and if you pick a small country counting on giving you extra reinforcements and not everyone picked you reinforcements count will be higher or lower than everyone else, thats why they calculate all the reinforcements on turn 2 to give everyone their fare share of extra reinforcements. I admit this is not an effective system but this is what we got.

Well i missed that 1/2nd turn casual thing. I wouldn't mind rehosting turn 1 with the no attacking anything condition, but that pontez bug is a problem. Thoughts? 24hrs to decide.

Maybe if all the picks are the same, though I guess it doesn't really matter too much. You could just ask everyone if they're attacking another persons capital city, and if nobody is, it should be alright to go ahead. If people are attacking capitals picked by other players then a re-host would fix the problem.
No need to re-host if there won't be any problems.

i vote rehost on the condition nobody moves in the first turn, that way the game starts once we all have reins like a normal game and that glitch desu and bert uncovered wont be abused.
same picks? doesnt really matter, if none of us move in the first turn it wont matter that some of us picked islands.

Also seems very unfair in casual games as well... why allow unit movements and yet not reinforcements first turn?
I can see why casual clan wars can run into problems
The only way to avoid this is to have all players join when the game is being created. This is what we've done for our casual CWs in the past.
Also, I don't mind if the current game is kept going. For the next ones, we should have the no moves on 1st turn rule.

I look at it now... for group A. I realize how fucked the no 1st turn units made some players. Like the following: Indonesia, UK, Tiawan, South Korea, Eygpt, Sweden and North Brazil. I wish good luck for them, I feel they got cheated in various ways when they're expansion strategies consist of early amphibious attacks and some completely just locked to an island for the first turn.
Just so we're clear, the semi-finals game (that's what I guess its classified as that) is FFA, no teams, ja? However we can set up teams for the finals?

There was a glitch on turn 6 of our game (group B). Was supposed to have 24 more infantry in Sofia (Romania cap). Most of them just stayed in Bucarest and 5 were stuck right outside the city. They weren't turnblocked, they just didn't move. Lost my gen as he attacked Sofia with only 2 bombers, 2 ATs and 4 troops... Unfortunately, I don't have a screenshot of my moves; I would have liked to submit it as a bug.

Maybe you combined them with other units, which were tb'd... like maybe kiev? Cause chess did attack your cap... though yea, I guess you would have realized that. wanted to point out just in case.

Yeah, I combined them with other units, but those units were not TBed (they left from a city that was attacked by Death1812). I should have taken a screenshot... Anyway, I'm used to these glitches in casuals. But this one came at a pretty stiff cost. The EU area is pretty hotly contested.
On a more positive note, this is one of the more interesting/challenging casual games I've played in a while. Kudos to Meester for organizing this tourney

Hows your game going on the Royal Rumble B... I'm at the top of the charts for now, against Dbacks in Group A
http://prntscr.com/2j5k8p
Put as many names down. However I forgot some at the time and could not check on their names while quickly editing photo. The list of names I didn't add. Mauzer Panteri : India (probably going to rape me), Buffalo Soldier : USA NY, Egg : Indonesia, Supersniper : UK (Camping it out in France), Anthrax : Spain, Happy New Year: Brazil.
Red Arrows: Major Offensives I have seen through out the past couple of turns (not including mine, *safety reasons*)
White Lines: Current Official Peaces between players (makes no sense, thought it was free-for-all)
Just happy to be alive, only 3 more need to die for the 10 to make it into finals. Crossing my fingers

Well Dbacks, I want to say good game and twas a good battle. If I hold Berlin this last turn I end your game. If you win Germany back Mauzer will end me. I want to thank everyone in Group A for a good game and those who advance to Finals (hopefully with me) GL. We are at 12 Remaining Players (Meester Rejoined, Pretty sure that doesn't count). Desu and DBacks have lost their Capital Cities and the game is coming to close, especially if both die.

लिखा द्वारा DaRoamer, 17.01.2014 at 08:59 ...
thanks for that ss.
Events in group B:
Europe:
- Tactician (Germany) is eliminated by Laochra (UK)
- I've been playing Ukraine on the defensive ever since loosing my general & 2ATs to a glitch. I'm slowly loosing ground as I'm caught in a vise between Acquiesce (Turkey), Death (Russia) and now Laochra (UK). I managed to survive 1 cap attempt by Acquiesce (he lost his gen.). If I'm top of the SP chart for now, it's mostly from defending
Asia & Mid. East:
- Tophats (Indonesia) quits before being eliminated by Learster (Australia). Note that Tophats was disadvantaged by a glitch that caused him to loose one turn
- BertanK (China NE) eliminated Safari (S Korea, I think...) in the early game. He's now moving in to attack Loveloard (Vietnam).
- Chess (Pakistan) has the highest unit count. He is slowly pushing into Asia. He's also established a foothold in the Mid-East, putting some pressure on Acquiesce (Turkey).
Africa:
- Africa is hotly contested by Soul (Nigeria) and Joed (South Africa). Waffel (Spain) surprisingly chose to wade into Africa to attack Soul rather than focus on EU. He's managed to hold onto Madrid and Italy though.
Americas:
- Not much going on here. There were 3 players in N.America at the start. 2 players abandoned so Skitz - USA E (I think...) has been having a ball fighting neutrals. Pretty much the same goes for Flaneur in S.America.
