Are you happy with the amount of cities in the game?

Since we're already into 1.00, I doubt there's going to be any changes to the cities or provinces, but...
Southern US is ridiculously barren. It has 1 city with 4 prouction, and basically every other American province has 6 or so cities. I'm definitely not calling for perfectly proportional city distribution to make every province identical, but the huge disparity between the regions is kind of ridiculous. At the very least including New Orleans as part of the province would make it serve a purpose, doubling its production and giving it a port (not to mention Louisiana being classified as part of Texas and not the South is kind of silly).
The only reason I could see for the Southern US to be so limited in production is to create a section of the US that can be purchase in a 5k game, but even then provinces in Canada and the Caribbean are far more attractive and have greater strategic value.

Hey guys... this poll is from the beginning of february...we've gone through a few map revisions since then... can someone explain to me why we're still talking about it?

I saw those maps just now and I totally agree with them. Also, for those who don't know, Brazilian amazonian is far from being a desert area or such.

The larger nations need to be made up of smaller regions, especially south America, most of heavily populated Asia (including Western Russia), North America and Australia. Obviously follow national borders, but I would say don't be afraid to break up nations like Argentina, Russia, China, India, Mexico, the USA a bit more.

They have already done exactly this with The US, Brazil, Russia, and china. The admins have said they like the current state.

I'd like to point out in a friendly way that admins & creators should be listening to the desires of the players. They clearly don't have to, but they should be catering to our wants.

The large places just aren't enjoyable to play, especially when it doesn't reflect real life, ie America, China, India

Yeah, countries that don't have a capital just make the map look odd. Also, can we have Timor Leste and it's capital please? (Dili). That's in south-eastern Indonesia.


On topic of large nations, I say keep them. They're here as a prize, and capturing India is something everyone near it is looking to do.

If I started out as India, I might as well run out of money, even if it's 50k, to go that fast.

My reasoning behind this is that Europe has more cities, where I can buy Marines and wrap the whole place up, but in Asia, the cities are so spread out!

You're doing something wrong, Halcyon. It shouldn't take 12 weeks to have all of relevant East Asia. Which strat are you using?

I kinda want to rule the Falkan Islands by Argentina, but I don't know who they belong too. Its ether UK, Argentina, or independent. I do know its capital's Stanly unless its changed over time.

I was born in Port Stanley and I can tell you for sure that I'm not an Argentinian. I'm pretty sure that issue would be along the same lines as Palestine for the Afterwind Devs - Irrelevent and not worth the hassle of changing.

So what country does it belong to? Or is it just independent?

It's owned by the UK and the people are all British citizens who have chosen to remain a part of the UK.

Russia is nearly unplayable (in my opinion). There are so less cities, and the only way to fight against other countrys is to build airplanes, but theres no money to build some.

russia is full of oil/gas and other stuff. i think a bigger income will manage this prob. or more cities.

Yeah this would help and the only strat capable of doing this without planes is Blitz. More cities in russia would be better.

Could they add Montego Bay to Jamaica? I have too much fun with the country on its own but it makes me weak against a cap rush/stealth attack. :C SO I was wondering if you guys would add it on 100+ cities.

USA: South doesn't have Louisville which is the largest city in the area.

The amount of cities seems right to me, but it's not all fairly devided. some cities are so far removed, it's kinda annoying to hunt for them. so i think in some very remote regions the really tiny cities should be removed; cities like Tromso, Murmansk and Rio Gallegos...i don't even see why they're in there at all. while other low density regions have some bigger cities missing and can do with another city; like Oran in Algeria, which should definitely be added since it's much bigger than Sfax, and Algeria a much bigger country than Tunesia so really should have that second city.

rodus might be a nice addon to greece
tel-aviv might also be nice to israel,altough it has more liberal pacifists
and scotland might be a good country of it's own as an addon to england.
