Which RP is Better? Martell's or Fappy's?

Still, you haven't answered my only question... I would really appreciate to know in what did you base your map, cities, income, reinf, etc? Realistic, imaginary, balance, epic?

I based my map on some research I made (cities names and geographic locations) also with some help in order to make the map relatively crowded in cities but not too many, and the incomes were based on the irl size and economical dimensions of the city, the reinf were also based in the economical side/size of it and its importance. (Example, Riga, in Latvia [i think] has less reinforcements than Paris or Berlin, due to its importance in some way, etc...)
However, I made it in a way that I could conciliate both the realistic side and the balanced side, cuz if I went realistic in Spain for example, comparing with a Britain, a France or a Germany, Spain wouldnt have too much chances against a Germany, as some could see in Tempted's model for example so in some way, I conciliated both ways, even tho in some cases, they arent.

Where is RP is shit option ?

fair enough, but i have seen martells being played as well as cheif of states, so it clearly is not just martell and fappy, and while my own is too miniscule at the moment to notice, it gets played.

In my opinion, they are both shit.. Both Martell and Fappy need to make their own RP if they want to call it 'theirs' or even consider themselves map makers..

Both these maps come from Adog.

That is true. But it also takes work to make Adog's map.. You wouldn't know anything about that.

In that case I think either your research was poor or you felt lazy to make a good research. For example:

- Salamanca: 8 reinf, 150k real population. Historically and culturally important city, not so much in the economic sense.
- Bilbao: 5 reinf, 350k real population. Important spanish city in all senses, economically, historically, politically, culturally and as a port. It is even between the cities with more GDP in Europe.

Where's the research in that?? And I could go on with other examples but I rather not. So, your map lacks the realistic side. That only leaves us with the balance you talk about.

- UK has 93 total reinf (Engl + Wales + Scoth + North Ireland + Gibraltar)
- Germany has 120 total reinf whereas tempted's RP germany only had 92 reinf.
- Spain has 137 total reinf.

So... no balance either? What's there left then? This makes me think that even tempted's RP was a bit more balanced than yours...

Conclusion: no research, no balance, no real basis for your map. I'd say this map can't be considered as "good". Also, the spamming possibilities are huge, too huge.

If we're going to go by how active the map is, I saw a Tempteds being hosted the other day, so it would still count as most played.

forgot to add, only some players even look at forums and even less do polls. so the results here are completely irrelevent as they present only a small portion of the community with a certain opinion which may not represent the rest of the community. it should not be selective.

Also, most played currently could mean that at this moment in time right now they have the most plays.. which they don't.
Perhaps being more specific like "they get most plays per day currently"
or "people ask for them to be started in chat most per day." it is completely the opinion of the reader of that statement as to what it means.

I actually realized yesterday that the bunker cost was wrong, I just changed it to 5100$, as it seems it can be spammed pretty easily with the old cost.

Relating to Raul answer, I cant have a balanced size on all cities and all aspects of the game, I focused more on capitals and [some] iconic cities.

Like I said, I mainly focused on some cities to be realistic (in some cases, as Spain I didnt boost many (or any at all), but created new ones instead, with reduced reinf (such as Vigo and Melilla) and in some way reduced importance.
Relating to the British reinforcements comparing to the Germans, we have to see the military factor here too, Britain has access to aircraft carriers, C-130's, and has good tanks, relatively good airforce compared to germany, so naturally Germany would have more reinforcements, since it doesnt have a good unit variety in the map.
Same applies to Spain, who to be honest I will nerf, but same thing happens comparing to Britain and Germany, the units they possess, however, I'll fix Spain.
The Bunkers have just been increased in cost (costing 5100) and Raul, in my map, I made infantry in a way that its more advantageous to use infantry than spam tanks, since modern day battles/conflicts are also still based on infantry.

Anyone feel like making an RP map that has Amsterdam, the Hague, Rotterdam, Utrecht and Groningen as five geographically close 10-reinforcement $600 income cities?


In all seriousness, I am inclined to agree with RaulPB here.

Fappino's RP map is interesting and it's great fun (or at least it is for me), but let's not pretend that it's balanced, realistic or whatever. It isn't.

"On some cities" only? Here it comes... wait for it... I can feel it......... XDDDD
Dude, if you're just gonna make an efford on some cities, then just add those few cities and don't invent the rest.

And why would there be such a huge difference between UK and Germany? Both have nearly the same technologies... 20 is a huge reinforcement difference in case you didn't think of that. As for Spain... 133 reinf... that's even worse than in Tempted's RP, the spam capability is superior in all aspects. Just laughable.
Come on dude... I tried your map. I really did, don't try to fool me. Those infantry are useless, completely useless. Everyone just spams tanks. They're too freaking OP (10+ attack!) considering that we have 5k income at the very least!! And those bunkers should actually cost like 10k. I suicided a fucking 50 unit stack over a single bunker. That's more than 10k cash on units! Don't you understand that as long as you have at least one bunker in each city, you're mostly undefeatable? It makes your map so fucking boring. Who ever spams the most bunkers wins cause he can't be defeated. You really don't realize how autistic playing that map is. I even tryed 2 of those nukes. It took both nukes to kill a single fucking bunker. I recomend you either shuting down those bunkers or seriously nerf them really really hard.

Again, reconsider what the heck you want your map to be. For now, it's just an autistic spamming fest, with tons of income and with super OP bunkers and too strong tanks. Blitz is the only viable strategy... anyother strategy doesn't really stand a chance.

5k is still too low. People have 5k income at the very least plus the starting 50k funds. Meanwhile a single bunker can defend against 50 fucking OP tanks which cost 250-350, do the maths. Its HP is too freaking OP. Even Tempted's bunkers were fairer. This is just a laughable map.
