Hello everyone, though I don't want to seemingly appear like I seriously think this will have any sort of impact on the community or that anyone would care, but I am retiring from playing atwar. There have been great times on atwar that I will never forget, whether it be in the forums, in-game or in clan chat, they are moments that scared me both positively and negatively as a human being and a fictional user called tophats.
I'll still be modding and coming online probably every day or so, but I won't be playing seriously anymore. To those who still make thousands of movements, and battalions and stacks turn-after-turn and day-after-day, I still get to call you crazy. The amount of thought, precision, mental effort and composure it takes to play this game is literally insane. Great game, but it takes crazy people to play it. xD. No worries, I was one of those crazy people as well. Played this game way too much. I'm officially burned out.
Well, I guess life caught up to me. I haven't been playing a lot lately due to school, which has now become serious and very academically demanding. There's that, and other aspects of life that I wish to improve in. Edit: I now have a life, more or less lol. Therefore, I shall retire my atwar jersey along with the other greats of the game and seek happiness and entertainment elsewhere.
Special shout-out to Acquiesce, Spart, Stomach Ulcers, NateBaller (jk u suck nate), Pinheiro, Cthulhu, Desu and I must not forget, although you were a huge pain in the ass at times, yet handsdown the most entertaining user in this game, Fruit (A great salute and middle finger to you simultaneously)
Thanks to you guys I had a reason to come online at times of loneliness and boredom, and I'll never forget the great times spent chatting with you guys. Especially during Afterwind Movie Night.
Well, it's over, enough talking for me and low-tier reflections. Don't cry friends, soon we will all be together in AW heaven. I'm glad to give away my throne after two years to the next future king, either zizou who will claim it back or Mauzer who is rising quickly.
I never dueled you i was too scared.I loved your autism because when you was autist in games you still was wining.AW must hold that day for ever and make a turney named tophats every year this day so noone will never forget you.Bye tophats
I still remember our first match, when i killed your gen as rank 5 or 6. One epic world game, when u capped me with 400 units, i recaped and after that i was op. One duel, one tournament match...Was interesting.

It will be a good thing for your personal life, but a sad thing for the game. I hate these moments because they remind me that everything in life, including games, have a begin and an end.
Goodbye and good luck with your life, TOPhat

I'm sorry I was always too scared to duel tophats now.
Life goes on, and many may fade into oblivion, but the legends of tophats will be passed down the generations.
