Mods need to up their game

Many people say that the mod are humans and they make mistakes, and i used to believe that however i am getting increasingly fed up the bullshit job that the mods do, i have on repeated occasions been muted for spamming (by that i mean writing something 2x) yet other people can use rude language and insult others and some get muted and for some not one fucking thing happens. and i am getting tired of this inconsistency, previously i have reported shit to mod such as Vril and he doesn't do one fucking thing and the same person keep spamming global with abuse towards me, as it is on global it is plain to see yet the mods don't give one fuck. i am getting tired of this inconsistency, i think that's it unfair that some people get muted and for the same reasons others don't. Mods should have the same policy for muting or don't do it at all.

This post is making reference to how mods police atwar, and i am not implying that every mod does a bad job, in fact some such as Hugosch do a good job for example teh atwar tournament

Not all mods are present at the same time. Even if they are online, they might just look at another tab, or be AFK. VRIL does his job well, but there are players with simmilar attitudes such as yours, or for example hdrakons in the past.

Mods don't do a bad job but they don't do a good job either. We need a better ban system or something.

this si what i am trying to say, when set a task such as a tournament the mods do a good job however the banning system is random and speratidic and need to be consistent

Mods really lost their skill for real , i am not saying they are bad they are trying and they cant be here 24 hours in past when Afterwind was still alive there weren't so much player and players came here in exact time so in my time if you come here at morning you wont see more than 5 - 10 players online so mods know that they can leave it but now 24 hour job is needed as the players are so much bigger with 100 player average so we really need more mods and mods same as any old players stoped playing this game so much like caul , vril , pin , and etc they stop being active cuz they kind of get bored and busy with their real life

Lets give the power to the players let use mute and ban people :-P

The community rules are very simple to follow and if your getting banned or muted then quite frankly its your own fault. 18 months I have been playing this game and have NEVER had a mute or ban, you know why? because I'm not stupid. Don't blame the mods if your getting muted, you did something wrong and they having given up their own time to contribute to the well being of the game, so imo should have the right to determine what falls within the guidelines without having to explain every action to the person involved. PS: Trolling is very different from aggressiveness or personal attacks, the latter ones which I do not defend. Trolling is a method of communication in which an obvious wrong/controversial statement is given to another person to indirectly induce a response. The intention is to provide entertainment for spectators and themselves to which is based on a mischievous mood, not malevolent one. Players must differentiate what is truly meant.

No, there aren't clear rules. The report system is problematic when you face someone subpar in english like bargain (no offence kanka). They should just publish the case by each incidence in context, let the community scrutinise them and deduct conduct points. Of which, pass a certain threshold equals ban.

Perhaps one of the reasons you did not get mute or ban both, since Moderators do not have an inexplicable hatred towards you.
Or obsessed about you and want to pester you until you do something that will win them to use their status as Moderators to punish you.

When vast majority of the community protest against specific Moderator that impose terrorism with his position and have wrong decision to unbelievable behavior as Moderator(trolling other players into banning them when they rage or 'repay')(enough to read and understand his name) I see no reason to keep him in his current position. I am ofcourse talking about our hated community Moderator VRIL.

OK let me iterate again, i am not making a topic about hating mod or "mod bashing", as i said previously many of the mods do a good job. however my point is that there is no clear guidelines for actions that mods take. If what i did is considered spamming then fine i accept being muted, but if i am being muted for spamming something 2x then so should others and the actions that mods take i see can often be ill informed random and unclear. what i am trying to achieve is for clear rules on the actions that mods take, so people understand what is going on.

I see alot injustice in this game some players are banned whit no reason and some because they are dumb.Im requesting to unban 1 player is my friend plz unban hidrakon he was only jk .Tks and peace to all aw members.

No mods are not here soley to 'enforce the rules' and police. That is where all of you are getting the role wrong. If someone is getting harrased then use the ignore button, its a very simple tool. If your too hurt and immature enough to take harrasment on the internet to heart, or dislike someone because of the connotations in their name then stop playing and go play tenis.

With regards to community opinion on specific moderators they shouldn't be removed because a minority and it is a minority believe what they do is wrong. Outting a mod with pitch forks is not the answer, especially when it is driven by what seems to be personal motives. Explain to me how that helps make it a better place to game?

@Aramen, your right there should be more understanding of what will get you a ban or mute, but you must realise that is the responsibility of those who are in trouble to figure out.

There is ignore button because there are some people who are tired of the bullying and no longer want to see or receive any of his messages in game. But there are those who are not willing to give up to the one that ails them and report him to Mods to give him the punishment

So you are basically saying I have to leave the game if someone bully me? Even that Mods can prevent or at least help me on this? If the solution to avoid harassment is to quit the game as your logic says then this game is not expected to bright future.

It was one among the reasons admins decided to add executives to enforce the basic rules of this game in the first place.

It is not just me and a handful of players who want to see him demoted. It is above and beyond of what you think.
As far as I know that Moderator did not do anything useful beside of monitoring the game by using the mute and bans buttons against players that every player can do. He is also responsible for a very considerable amount of players who left the game because of the cold treatment they received from him and the repeated harassment from his side which he made out of boredom...

On behalf of the vast majority of atWar users that suffer from the terrible Moderator VRIL I request his demotion. It will only bring good overall environment in the community.

He does nothing useful for the community so his demotion won't harm the community the opposite will be the true.

Hey, maybe instead we should introduce libel laws to atWar and punish those who defame others? Please be respectful to ALL mods as they are doing an invaluable service for the community. And please stop creating these countless threads about demotion or starting some sort of mod revolution, it's not going to happen. 99.9% of the players never have any problems with mods, it's just a few vocal minority who don't like to play by the rules.
