They're fun and add a new dynamic, something competitive desperately needs. Yet this feature has been discarded without any proper testing. I ask people why and get no solid answer. I'm just vaguely told "they're noob". It looks to me like people are just afraid of change. Id like to see them made compulsory for the next season - no option to disable. Dave went to the effort of adding them so we should give them a proper testing before deciding if they're bad or not. We had them on in a cw and i found it fun.

Some buildings can use a few tweaks, but theyre fun to play in 50k and 25k ive noticed.

Hey, I use buildings and encourage everybody to enable them every time. I have participated in some CWs where buildings were decisive (+1 def to all units is no joke on big stacks...). I don't know who disabled them right before our CW against illy started, but I blame 4iq..

In eu+ they aren't good enough, but for mid east/America where you have less countries/cities it's good, or eurasia/world games, like make fort in mid east/india/west Africa etc... Just need them to be buffed/reworked and they will be nice, I would like to include them to the meta but right now, mauz and nic are right they suck.

Everything needs a counter to it for it to be balanced. There is AA the is PD infs who work as Anti Tank but there is nothing that can make me snipe this building that gives +1 def to all units expect me killing all the units that already have the +1. ![]()

In the maps that we usually play they are not useful for the cost. but for bigger maps and higher incomes they might be usable ( still won't be that useful tho)

Bank costs more money per turn and on its buying cost then it helps to reserve let alone nobody is gonna put all his army in a city and camp all the game only good buildings are anti air and anti navy and ONLY AT HIGH STARTING INCOME LOW REINF +10players EUROPE GAME the recruitment center since you can get 10 reinf out of swiss and another 10 out of benelux so you can just camp in these locations and play diplomatic D

Excuse my ignorance, I somewhat missed the introduction of buildings... so, what do banks do exactly? Reducing the upkeep of ALL units in the map? Just the ones in that city?

Just the ones in the city, its useful if you stack something with like 100 units, big capitals like delhi ankara etc.

Bank seems very situational. I'd prefer some sort of building that generates income. maybe 200 a turn and pays for itself after a few turns. Fortifications needs to be a bit cheaper, imo 500 cost. Another interesting option would be a missile silo that generates a few missiles each rein turn. Might act as that fortifications counter jugers is looking for.

Regarding the bank, I'd say suggest that it starts making 10 at first turn and increases +10 or something each turn (maybe an increase in 10 is too op, but you get the idea). That way, even if it's not worth for short-term gain, it can turn really powerful in the long run. It could use some income cap so that it can't be absurd, but that way it would be a bit more useful in varying situations.

Bank to do same as now + increase the speed the income gets multipled by 2%(?) And it's maximum cap by 100%(from 150% max to 250%) that would be a true long term investment...or a plain + every turn althow would be still weak

Buildings are trash, costs too much, and easy to lose buildings. i play with buildings sometimes when I need to get rid of upkeep with buildings, or with defense. but generally, most of them are trash.

In 50k for example,it kinda reminds of rp buildings.I see r5s spamming them in 10s and not getting their real point. In 10k I feel like its not a worthwhile investement.Too expensive for the gains it provides.In addition to this,not that im a close minded person,not at all,but i also feel that buildings will change 10k gamestyle in multiple ways,most of them leaning towards lesser skills to use and micromanagement. I woud prefer more strategies to be honest and maybe a buff on some of the already existing ones.Usefull strategies not like Counter Something or Insurgence(or whatever its spelled) that never really became any usefull besides for trolling purposes. Lastly but not least,I feel like we should be focused more on why most ppl quit game after r5-7 and find a way to make em stay.What sometimes makes AW really boring for me,isnt strats,it isnt buildings or no,it is the lack of players and the feeling of boredom when playing with same and same people again.

I see the use for fortifications, AA, and possibly coastal batteries, but what's the point of banks? They're expensive and they have high upkeep for barely any on your own
