Should submarines be able to take cities?

Destroyers, Transports can take it too. I wonder why submarines cant?

Thats not the reason I made this poll lel.

The point is, it would definitly make MoS and GW more of an stealth strategic than it already is.
Since you can't see those submarines it will take people to deffend ports more. Since submarines already help in battles with marines included, I wondered why can't they take cities by them self.

Well its only $20 cheaper than transport. It has a capacity of 4 (upgrades + MoS/HW) and 3 (upgrades + any other strat) and 2+ for the no upgrades.

Compared that with a transport with capacity 10+ without upgrades and 15+ with upgrades with same amount of HP/range/view/crit. Only the attack and def of transports is way lower, but thats the point of transport :p. To transport, not to fight.

Compared to destroyers it is $50 cheaper but has a slightly lower attack and deffensse.

You know submarines land on the ground when beached? And since they do attack port cities but only not take it, I think it should be able to conquor a city

I am almost sure they are not support units. The support units are Sentry planes, Air transports, Naval transport and the general. That is noticeable because of the low amount of attack/deffense. Submarine has a pretty decent attack/deffense this puts them into another catagory.

Beached not related to attack..... They can attack from deep sea. Destroyers and transport can't.

I agree if we can make bombers and stealths take cities too cos at this point why not

marines do the same, its kinda what ''stealth'' is for

and yea, empty transports is the least reasonable thing to take cities because an empty weaponless ship poses no threat. If they can take cities then weaponized subs should too. At least with MoS.
