Why do we even have a "report " channel?

Today a player who tinks he is tough hidding beind a computer (Trooper) started insulting me with all sort of words. I report to desu but the reply i get from him is as follows :

Apparantly desu didnt do anything to him cuz he keeps talking shit to me




I ignored the guy!

The reason for this thread is that desu 's hate torwards me is so much that he doesnt even punish those who talk shit to me, but when i defend myself, im the one who gets muted or banned.
Since in aw there is no freedom of speech he will lock this thread. Because reporting players is normal here but reporting mods is punishable

Surely don't need to be in the same game either. And I positively can't just stop replying to him either. After all, why would he continue talking to you if he gets no response?

Report things that are clear abuse. There is such a thing as self-moderation, use it.

Might want to backtrack a bit. You were banned because I received a report that you deliberately spread real life info of someone other than yourself.

If insults get out of hand, sure action will be taken, but you're reporting things that happened in the game chat. They're gone in mere seconds.

I was harassing desu all night but he wasn't crying about it like you had CE.

Usually I start (or end... or interrupt) my modding day with the review of the reports. 50% are nonsense... that somehow has to be given attention (otherwise the reporter would complain), 20% are good reports but have no grounds and 30% are grounded good reports (relevant for a convivial environment). These reports are take very seriously, which means they have to be double-checked (game logs, chat logs, IPs, etc.) and this takes lots of time. Unfortunately we have always to double-check reports, they cannot be taken as simple reports, but just as an indicative that there is something going wrong and that we have to have a deeper look into matters.
Just take this into account when reporting... cause some report almost everything... and this is not sustainable.
