Tomorrow is the day people! How will your country do?
I think Germany will be just fine, as long as Low keeps Gomez and Mertesacker out of our game. If he needs a second striker he can always play Reus for Klose, who would be so much more effective than that faggot Gomez. Our only weak spot really is the defense, which makes me really nervous. You can't win games with such a scrappy back line, let's hope they sort their shit out and Hummels plays like he does on club level.
Also, I think Poland and France will do well. I actually bet on Poland to reach the semis and France to make it into the final. France seems rock solid and complete in a way other teams do not. Then, Poland has home advantage and a really strong attacking axis with Pisczek, Kuba and Lowandowski on their right wing. And their goalie Sczezezez is pretty good too. Then there is this Wolski talent everyone seems to talk about lately. Let's hope they deliver, it's always good to see a host country compete well.
And at last, I'm already looking forward to seeing the English fail hard, as they always do. Even though it won't be as sweet as in 2010, when they were hyped beyond reasoning. Somehow they seem to be more reluctant this time...!
Yeah, I think that croatia was very unlucky this time
Croatia played like a boss (this is SPAIN you guys), Spaniards didn't score until like the 80th minute which is just crazy for a team like that of Spain's.
It was in 89th minute, and a minute before that was a suspicious referee decision after Croatia's corner, some say that a penalty was supposed to be for Croatia because Corluka was fouled. However, dubious decision.
Nice to see england win there group for once, and nice to see we won't have to play spain until the finals!
overall I think after France our team has played pretty decent football, but we must improve if we are to beat Italy, and Germany in the semis.
for our group, I think Sweden were hard done by, they played well against us, and france played pretty Meh football, I think Sweden deserved a quarter finals place.
Oh god I'm so happy right now. When the lineup was announced my mind was already blown, but when Reus scored my head followed!
Watching it on the Fanmeile was great too. That stadium atmosphere, that singing and general happiness, everyone being friends and cheering. And then that one odd Holland fan, was that you Hugosch? http://i48.tinypic.com/263kfht.jpg <- epic Brandenburg Gate in background! http://i47.tinypic.com/2bb91l.jpg <- Hugosch

This is going to be an amazing game. I feel like we can't lose if Löw brings Klose, Reus and Schürrle (or rather Götze) again. But Italy might have a chance if Gomez and Poldi play.
Also, Pirlo will only be bossed by Schweini and Khedira!

Man, watching Germany was horrible. Their passing is mesmerising but why the hell don't they shoot? They're passing stuff around even inside the penalty area until inevitably a defender catches them out. The game against Greece they could have got twice as many goals if they just take the chances they're given. God damn.
Can't really tell. I was shouting at them to shoot all the time, but they wouldn't do. I can only guess that Löw likes to play the ball low and/or it is always harder than it seems, especially when the box is so packed.
Anyway: The Dutch played bad, and they deserved their loss. I was planning to cheer for whoever plays lovely football. For this moment, that is only the Germans. I hope they play the final against Spain and win.
Come on, that match is just heartbreak. You should rather post the match of the century, Germany vs Italy in 1970.
Italy leads 1-0 for most of the game, but then Germany equalizes in the 90th minute. Going into extra time, Germany scores 2-1 (94th), Italy equalizes 2-2 (98th), going ahead 3-2 (104th), and then the great Gerd Müller strikes again to make it 3-3 (110th), but it didn't hold for long, as the Italians make it 4-3 to win the game. ;(
Meanwhile, Franz Beckenbauer played through most of the second half and most of the extra time with a broken shoulder, because he couldn't get subbed anymore. Dat heart. dat heroism on both sides.
Much, much better game than yours, where Italy just played dirty throughout the whole tournament, again with corruption scandals prior to it. I know they were the better team (better than Germany at least), but it's still a shame they won. Let alone for what they did to Zidane, but theres much much more.
