Hungarians controled Croatia since 1100ad, they controled it even in Austria Hungary, so i dont know how you bring serbs into croat-hungarian problem. Serbs were people living in military region defending austrians from the turks for 500 years. And austrians gratitute is force austrianization, croatization and conversion to catholicism.

Krajina Army stayed and fought until civilians were gone, then army retreated as well. But croatian paramilitaries had more numbers so they catched civilians and killed them, they throw bombs on tractors, buses with mothers and children, they shoot bazookas on car full with families and convoy was moving 20km slow.

Army deserters were a thing in Russia, but not in Greece.
Dont forget that Greece started this war.Greece, who was officially bankrupted and just came out of Ottoman occupation of hundred of years.It didnt have time for military training, it didnt have much supplies and food, weapons were old,slow,shortranged and ammunition 15 years old.But they didnt care.Their brothers in Crete were being abused by kebabs and we attacked.We took the island also.Against ottomans, who had superior army,reinforcements, new long range repeater mauser rifles and new ammunition.Not to mention we were backstabed by the Great powers also.They blockaded our sea and were against us.If i count the times that West backstabed Greece i need a whole page.And the funny thing is it was against muslims also.

The Balkans have been a powder keg since the Ottomans conquered Constantinople in the 15th Century. Also not to blame on the Americans.

The "will of the people" is entirely modifiable. Very fluffy, like cotton candy. Once you have a couple billion dollars/euros/rubles to swing around, and this applies to those idiots in Moscow as well as those fools in Washington, the so-called "will of the people" of other countries can be modified as necessary. In fact, this "will" is so fluffy that it might as well not exist.

The Americans have been handed easy opportunities to weaken Russia (Balkan crisis, etc.) over and over again. They'd have been idiots to turn it down. Why would they not make use of these opportunities?

Just bear it out for another couple decades... the US can't be a superpower forever, right?

Also, just want to mention this. If Russia doesn't invade other countries, then how did they end up with, like, Warszawa in the 18th Century? That general area is majority Polish, I think.

War which is known in Croatia like ''Defensive War'' for example, obviousle false as you cant start rebellion and be defender, Yugoslavia was defending, rebels were attackers.

Croatia decleared independence in June 1991. by democratic legal ways like other republics by rights given to them in the constitution of Jugoslavija.

Civil war was between Croatia and rebeled Serbs of Krajina who were aided by JNA and later Serbia ...while in Bosnia, civil war between Bosnian Serbs, Croats and Bosniaks with Croatia aiding Herceg-Bosnia, Serbia aiding Republic of Srpska and mujahedins coming to aid Bosniaks.

Point is everyone was aware Yugoslavia is no more and everyone wanted to grab as much a territory possible, no one was saving yugoslavia!
