I support Trump on an absolute basis because of his domestic policy, which includes his attitude and policy effectuated in support of small businesses, which have the lowest top marginal tax rate in more than 80 years. Furthermore, had it not been for the Senate, the Affordable Care Act would have been repealed on Trump's order. Only one Republican senator blocked this effort: John McCain. Nevertheless, Trump managed to get rid of the Individual Mandate, which the Supreme Court should have done to begin with, seeing how it does not pass constitutional muster under either the Commerce Clause or any other Clause in the Constitution. This lends itself to yet another crucial element of my support for Donald Trump: his capacity to nominate Supreme Court justices who adhere to traditional notions of Constitutional Law, including Textualism and Originalism. Justices Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch are fine additions to the Supreme Court, and because Trump has so much control over the Supreme Court, in this respect, I would be obliged to never support a Democratic president.
I also support Trump's foreign policy, and especially his policy towards Israel, Iran, Venezuela, the European Union, and China. For far too long, the United States supported the isolation and implicit destruction of Israel. Israel is a land of hope, a hedge against Middle Eastern tyranny, and a nation that must be supported in light of Iran's support of terrorism and in light of the actions it takes to undermine not only Israel, but also the United States. In light of the reasons I support Trump, some reservations I have include his unwillingness to pursue entitlement reform. Trump refuses to reform welfare programs such as Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. I also think Trump is unprofessional and conducts himself well below the status that the presidency would usually require of its occupant.
Now, why would I not support Biden or any other candidate? First of all, on the Republican side of the spectrum, no other candidate is able to win, since the Republican primary is essentially complete. This same logic applies to the Libertarian Party. Even though I share more in common with the Libertarian Party, they have no chance at winning the presidency and I am satisfied with Trump, anyway. On the Democratic side of the spectrum, every candidate would expand the welfare state, expand the scope of government, politicize the Supreme Court, permit the funding of Planned Parenthood, overhaul federalism, and in doing so destroy the Constitution that the president must swear to obey. They would also fail to lasso the administrative state, they would fail to treat the United States as a world power, and they would fail to reform entitlements, which are a threat to our national security.
With respect to Biden, he is a pawn of the progressive movement. In fact, Biden swore to install a female for his Vice President, which illustrates the type of intersectional politics that are not only part and parcel with his candidacy, but with his administration, as it would not be run by him but by his progressive subordinates.
