Ok man, In the previous subject we tought about the Subject : "Earn SP point by maps played". But, certains, and they have reason show the problem of spamming and farm SP point. It's possible, but just because it's possible it's a bad system. We must find a good system unbiased ! Without risk (^^) for the problem : Noobs rank 7 who has never played. Ok ? So, the consensus isn't favorable for this idea. And now, i agree with you. But. The problem isn't resolved. I know, certain of you make map for voluntary. But for players, why not reward map editor of you favorite map ? To encourage him. CD show few solutions :
We can make many indicator to measure the reality of map editing. Yes, the time process is may be a good idea. But, map editor can open the game and open the editor without to be on his computer. So it's biaised. Yes, we can evaluate by quality. But how ? Graphic ? but we can uses a good font... but's it may be a good idea. Because even if the font isn't by the map editor we can't reject it. Because the objective is to improve the quality. So yes, it's may be a good idea. No ? So few indicator can improve the motivation : - Time process : but how to control ? - Quality : Creativity, Gameplay, History ... - Rate The question is : "how to motivate more people ?", few ideas (may be) : 1. Rating system developed I make a map, 50 rate it, it's not counted but for next players ot's count by : SP point Earn = + 5*Rate Creativity + 2*Gameplay + 5*History. Advantages : We have a system which judge the quality, and it's the masse which determine the reward for map Editor. 2. Change policy on map 3. Earn SP point by GAME = suggestion improved. For example : Only a rank 3 who open my map can give me SP point. BUT if a rank 0 -1 -2 open my map, i earn nothing. If this same rank 3 open again my map... i have nothing. But if another rank 4 open my game, i earn yet. and so one... 4. Other solutions Example : and And you, what's your idea? I will add your solutions to this Subject.

Soulution 6: Make a Map Contest Once 2 weeks hosted by a mod. (the contest we have right now its each 4 months, the host its lazy and careless of the contets, and the votes are biased).

Anyone can submit a map, and only the people that submit a map get to vote. after 5 maps are selected as the best, everyone can vote for their favorite.

mods votes are worthless, most of the mods don't play custom maps, or even know there is a contest. you fool.

I freely admit that I don't have enough experience with custom maps to make good judgements. (I do however realize that the contest exists, don't be silly.) On topic, I'd like to see solution 5 (my own idea) as well as greater rewards for high quality mapmakers. Personally I don't think the reward should be sp because as Dr.Troll so eloquently stated in the first thread, "we'll just have a bunch of high ranked noobs that know nothing of the game mechanics."

I think we REALLY need a rating system. Comments on the scenario shown before the scenario starts would be nice too.

Yes but, i don't think that noobs are map editors... I think map editors know how to play for the most part. Almost, Map editors are premium... so they are limited for the large part. The risk of noobs who become high rank is really low for me...

Looks swell Schumpeter! Although I severely disprove of letting everyone being allowed to make custom maps!!! We don't have enough players currently to accommodate such a huge influx of maps. All that would happen is tons of games open in lobby with 1 or 2 in them. Once we have a larger playerbase then we can talk

I don't agree. because : 1. I don't say that all player can make a custom map but they can open map which are selected by us to put it in default map. 2. You say : we must wait a better playerbase... but, may be if the game allow the openning of funny map, the playerbase increases ? So what's the causality ? Playerbase creates more maps or maps create more playerbase ? Me, i don't know, but i judge that we have more benefits than costs. 3. Yeah, may be more game will be open... but i don't know for you but me, i go in game with more 3 players... Otherwise i don't participe to a game. So your argument "more maps and less player per map" is very limited for me...

At least half of the community plays scenarios and it usually takes an hour to fill one game up with the amount of games already...

Yeah but why ? because it's always the same scenarios... may be new scenarios are filled quickly... For example : All players know the UN Game scenario... it's boring because when we go in UN Game, we wait 1h and we remake 1/2 the game... So we are discouraged to join this game.

no, the reason Un Game gets full its because noobs that should be in begginers lobby invade our lobby, and Un games fail because they are full of noobs,backstabbers,quiters,wfs,ally-fags etc. if we make map making avatiable for everyone, we will have shitload of Un games.

This is my suggestions: 1. In Player profile there should be a list of maps CREATED by him. 2. Map Builders should get medals for their map like Medals for 1000 played that map, 5000,10000 people played that map etc. 3. Maybe some of "Big medals" should earn sp but i am not sure i think MAP Creating-rating system should totally independant of gameplay system like xp and sp. SO if i dont know players map earn 5000 players it gets protocoins? ------------------------------------------- I know all Map Builders and many players want this. 1. MAPS MUST HAVE DESCRIPTIONS to be seen before we start the GAME!!!!!!! Nobody reads descriptions when game is started all ppl just go and choose country.

Plop KengurBGD :p You solution 1 is already maked ! I agree with you. SP point is a XP system. But earn protocoins, why not. Because protocoins can allow to promot map for example. So it's normal to earn it if a map is good. I add your two last suggestions.
