Currently there's no way to mark an area in a certain colour. 
For example, you make a no-go area and people need to be able to see it. 
 
There's a way to draw a country over it and disable it, but that's too troublesome, as currently no-go areas get merged into one big, disconnected area. 
 
  
So what I propose is to make it possible( after the release of HTML5, of course) to mark certain areas in a colour.
