I've been inviting some people from my game to atWar recently and they find the current tutorial not as effective as they thought it would be. I went on a guest account and checked the tutorial out for myself and I came up with a solution, which I will explain at the end. To an experienced atWar player the tutorial looks very good and detailed, which it is. However, some people may prefer a more visual approach when learning the ropes on atWar. Out of the 50 people I invited recently, literally none of them found the current tutorial useful. Only one of them did, and that person was already experienced with games similar to atWar. I then linked them a video Viserion made in October, and they found these types of videos much more useful and effective. I noticed in the current tutorial that there are videos implemented in each section, like selecting a country. However, these videos are small and can only be seen if that user actually goes through the tutorial (in which a majority don't). Also, if you click on the videos you'll see that they only get around 200 - 300 views, which indicates that a huge majority of the new users are not watching them. My solution to this is the keep our current tutorial, but only as a secondary tutorial. I believe new users will find it much easier to watch a small video like Viserion's and seeing someone do the basics and also commenting on it as well. My friends I invited also agreed on this. Perhaps when a new user joins the game and joins the beginning room, they automatically get played a beginners guide video (like Viserion's) before they use the current tutorial to actually put the skills to the test? I also checked the FAQ page and think it needs to be updated. Instead of using pictures to demonstrate, we should add YouTube videos from the official atWar channel. It would also be more useful when people ask for help in the help channel, a supporter can simply grab a YouTube video link to show that user, instead of giving them a link to a FAQ page with a single picture and making them read the entire thing. Thoughts?

Updating the FAQS, revamping the tutorial, making better videos/forum guides... All of these things have been talked about since 2012 even. But at the moment, we're waiting on Dave before anything else can get done.

The Supporters have this listed on their to do list; everything you've discussed. Asylan even had some ideas back when she was on the team for the tutorial. Sadly, everything is on Dave right now so we cant do anything besides events and news posts before we can really start up in this area again. Garde and I have explored ideas and what not for remaking the FAQ or atleast updating it fully; both are mammoth tasks.

We need to make it like clash of clans... look at their tutorial and apply it here. I already copy righted this idea, so you have to give me credit if you decide to make atWar 3-D like Clash.

I agree with you Crow, but witch Admin will do that? or what if they don't accept that idea? When I played the tutorial in June, If wasn't useful for me and I had to learn on my own, one day, i create a guest acc and looked at the tutorial, you can literrally pick another country, It says to pick France and I can pick Germany. Just saying you mine expirence with tutorials.
