Im going to assume you're talking about resetting your router. It may work for you, but most ISPs have a lease for a certain amount of time per IP for your router (dynamic).
If its not that then you might be talking about the /ipconfig renew method on CMD; thats your internal IP. If its a VPN, that doesnt change your IP im afraid, just masks it. Other than resetting you'd have to either call your ISP or change your mac addresses yourself (tricky)

Not trying to hide it. Just change it to be able to get around the ban.
VPNs only hide the IP, they don't change it. But it works for evading bans I think.

Lol. A vpn only hides your actual ip, it doesnt change it. It does this by connecting to a public server before you connect to a site/game, hence it thinks you have a different IP.
P.s why are you using a server in Canada if youre in india, you're just adding 20+ ping.
